This position may be performed remotely anywhere within the United States except for the State of Colorado, Alaska, North Dakota, or South Dakota.
We are looking for a seasoned Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our Technology Business Operations team to be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the physical and digital IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will work with various internal stakeholders to determine the technology hardware, software, and services required to support the company. The Infrastructure Support Engineer must show a successful track record of establishing and maintaining networks, servers, & systems by implementing, proactively managing, troubleshooting, and remediation. Exceptional organization and presentation skills is a plus and the candidate must be able to work in highly visible, fast paced environments.
Support and maintain environments (local, virtual, cloud, data center) necessary to support NGC systems (internal, customer, and business partners).
Manage and support Cloud products like Rackspace, AWS, Office 365, and SharePoint / OneDrive,
Knowledge of On-premise and Cloud Microsoft Server Platforms, including working experience with Active Directory/Group Policy
Experience with Multifactor / SSO / MDM Products like Intune, OKTA, and Duo.
Understanding of networking: (TCP/IP, LAN / WAN, DHCP, DNS, Routing, Switching and Firewalls)
Manage and support VMware environment, SAN storage, physical servers, DMZ servers and all related network hardware & software. Including Windows and RHEL operating systems.
Responsible for the security and stability of the network, systems and all business software as related to the servers and network availability/uptime.
Responsible for upgrading network and server hardware, security updates, operating system updates, end-user software upgrades, and any other items required to assure all systems are current and maintained properly.
Manage and maintain company data backups, configurations, and schedules.
Assist w/ technology vendor relationships, hardware/software renewals, and new purchases.
Act as liaison and manage infrastructure projects onsite with direction from BHN Infrastructure team leaders.
Provide guidance and support for Desktop support techs when not executing projects and serve as a technical escalation point for major incident response/outages.
Minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience
Documentable knowledge of local and wide area networks; computer software and hardware; knowledge of data communications, network planning and analysis; and vendor evaluations.
Ability to design workable solutions to problems in a timely manner.
Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished as automated, written, and oral requests
Ability to effectively communicate with internal clients, external partners and executive management and articulate complex ideas in an easy to understand manner
Proficient use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based ticket system such as Service Now
Excellent customer service skills, self-starter with ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team
