National Dog Day Freebies for Your Pup

Yep, it’s National Dog Day. As someone who has a dog that they really like, I can tell ya that days like this one are awesome. Here are a couple great deals you can check out for your doggo to get a lil’ snack for free.

Krispy Kreme

If you needed to do a double take, that’s okay. Donuts and dogs don’t normally get long, until now. Limited time baked treats will be available for your beast today, August 26th at participating stores. In addition to that, they had this to say:

“Complete their pawsome experience with the perfect accessory – a limited-edition Krispy Kreme doggie bandana. All dog bandanas come in one size that fits most dogs and will be available while supplies last at participating locations. Talk about a doggone good time!”

There you have it – you can get doggy donuts and a doggy bandana! Quick side note – the donuts aren’t made with chocolate, but a substitute for it.

Einstein Bros. Bagels National Dog Day

At Einstein Bros, you can get a free doggie bagel today. Whose dog wouldn’t want a free bagel? It does come with a small catch – you need to either buy an egg sandwich or a burrito. Use the code FREEDOG to redeem it online. Some of the pictures people sent in were pretty darn cute.

Salt & Straw

Calling it “Yappy Hours,” Salt & Straw has been offering free Pup cups with purchase of ice cream between 2-4 p.m. the last few days, including today.

Pup cups are what they sound like – ice cream cups for dogs.

“We spent 11 years making incredible ice cream for humans, and we are super excited because for National Dog Day, we are launching Pup Cups,” said Tyler Malek, co-founder and head ice cream maker of Salt & Straw. “Literally the first ever Salt & Straw dog ice cream.”

The ice cream is made of smooth coconut enveloped in bits of crisp apples and carrots, along with sweet potato ribbons swirled throughout.
