Turkey Burger Recipe for A Quick Healthy Dinner
Turkey Burger recipe is what I’m throwing together in my kitchen for this one. These are a great alternative to beef and are also pretty tasty. Maybe I’m just a turkey person, but I think that one of these made with 93% ground turkey is better than a 93% beef burger.
Anyway, let’s start with what you’ll need to make this. There are certain things you can substitute and other things you can probably get away with ignoring if you want to (like not putting salt in, that kind of thing). This serves 4, each patty is about 1/4 pound.

You can find a lot of the ingredients for this Turkey burger recipe (really, most of ’em) at any store but I picked them up at various places like Target, Aldi, etc. over a few weeks.
Let’s Make It!
Start by getting out your ground turkey.
Then, grab your kitchen scale and measure out 1 pound of ground turkey on there.
Ground anything vaguely looks like brains. Alright, let’s just focus on the turkey burger recipe here.
Next, Grab One Egg. I know I have Eggs on Eggs, Deal with It
You’ll be carefully cracking the egg, pouring the whites out into a bowl, then dropping the yolk/shell into a little bowl, then pour it into the main bow.
You can use the little bowl for the eggshell and yolk. Those won’t be needed for the rest of the turkey burger recipe.
Next, whisk the egg whites around for about 30 seconds.
Next, measure out your 1.5 tbsp’s of breadcrumbs. Dump them into the bowl with the whisk.
Next, it’s time to chop up about 1.5 tbsp’s of onion. Finely dice them and throw them into the bowl
Then, throw your black pepper into (about a pinch) to the mix. The order of this isn’t that important, you could start by throwing the turkey into this turkey burger recipe mixture we have in the bowl. However, I wanted to mix all the smaller stuff around first.
Next, grab your garlic salt. You could also use garlic powder and regular salt, but I found this at Target and thought it would make things like this turkey burger recipe easier to make.
Next, start putting your turkey into the bowl. I put it in slowly and steadily worked the rest of the ingredients for the turkey burger recipe into it.
Weigh The Meat for This Turkey Burger Recipe
Next, you’re going to want to weigh out the turkey so each patty is about 4 ounces or 1/4 of a pound. Feel free to break it up if that’s too much for you.
Form the patties into burger shapes on a plate to get them ready for cooking.
Next, take your cast iron skillet and put it on the stove at medium-high heat. Make sure you have the vegetable oil out, too. You could also use some olive oil if you’d prefer that.
Start with one tablespoon of oil. You may end up needing more for this turkey burger recipe, though.
Put it in the pan and let it sit for a minute or two, maybe moving it around a bit before flipping it. Be care of oil splashing out of the pan, it may even make more sense for you to use some non-stick spray, unless your pan is already non-stick, then you could skip the oil/spray altogether in this turkey burger recipe.
When the turkey turns from pink to sort of white looking all the way through, it will probably be 160 degrees and safe to eat.
Once it looks done, stick your meat thermometer in it just to make sure.
