Elevation Vanilla Whey Protein Blend Review

Elevation Vanilla Whey Protein is going in my shaker bottle today. We’ll be taking a look at how this does on its own. That means no almond milk or any other type of beverage.

It’s regular cold water, a shaker bottle, one of those metal blender ball thingy’s, and this protein. This is from Aldi.

If you’re not familiar with their nutrition supplement brand Elevation, it’s got some pretty good products. I’ve had a few of their nutrition bars before and thought they were good.

This Elevation vanilla whey protein also has creatine and amino acids in it. I’ve had plenty of powders before with amino acids, but this is the first time I’ve had any creatine.

Off the top of my head, for some reason, I’ve always thought creatine was dangerous or something. There’s a rumor out there about how it can harm kidneys.

According to Healthline, the stuff about kidney issues is a myth. Same with other health concerns around creatine. I’m a little disappointed with myself for not actually researching that more when I was a young’in back in the day, but the past is the past.

Let’s jump into the nutrition facts for these.

Elevation Vanilla Whey Protein Nutrition Facts

First off, you get 19 scoops in this container. I’ll admit, it’s a little bit smaller than the typical one that I’m used to working with. Up until this point, I’ve been a big fan of the giant tubs that have 48-ish scoops in them.

This has 170 calories with a small amount of total fat. There’s a surprising amount of saturated fat in this Elevation vanilla whey protein.

I was expecting the amount of cholesterol, that’s pretty normal. The sodium level is only 4% of your daily value. The 8 grams of carbs isn’t much, either. There’s a little bit of calcium, potassium, phosphorus, and magnesium – 10%, 4%, 8%, and 6% of your daily value, respectively.

Then there’s the creatine monohydrate, some taurine, and l-glutamine in this Elevation vanilla whey protein.

Ingredients

This has very few ingredients. I was a little surprised by that, I kind of thought we’d be seeing a lot of chemically-sounding things (no offense, Aldi). The worst it has is some acesulfame potassium, sucralose, and maltodextrin.

Otherwise, it’s mostly protein blend from whey protein concentrate.

The Elevation Vanilla Whey Protein Review

For how little sugar this has in it, there’s actually a pretty sugary taste. That’s not really my thing these days because I’m so used to the low-sugar powders. It might be a bigger deal to you if you’re a huge sweets person, but, drinking this really is a lot like having a vanilla shake.

Preparation is great. Most protein powders I try get caked badly in the shaker bottle, but, this one doesn’t. Major brownie points there.

Going with 8 ounces of water makes it thick, 16 ounces thins it out but not that much. This is a solid shake to have after a workout or just for a protein snack at some point during the day. Personally, I’ll probably stick to the whey that I usually buy from naked or Gold Standard.
